Christian Vinces Pastorino

Christian Vinces was born in Lima, Peru, where he lived until he achieved his B.A. in Social Communication. He moved to the United States of America to continue his career and get a MFA in film. Once in the States, Christian realized that a MFA may not be what he needed to fully learn the craft of filmmaking and he decided to enroll for a BFA at SUNY Purchase. There, he experienced many different situations that confirmed his decision had been the best one. Not only in the professional level, but also in the personal level. During his stay in SUNY Purchase, he has produced four short films : “Rebecca,” “The Night Lying Down,” “Kill The Dog” and “The legacy of Colonel Ignacio Santillan.” He has also collaborated in different projects : “Notes On Life,” “Community Service,” and “The Ghorbil.”
On a quest for experience and a deeper understanding of filmmaking, Christian has been exposed to different types of experiences. One of the most rewarding ones has been his interaction with The ImagineNation Studios LLC, with whom he has collaborated for over four years. He also has collaborated with Producer Ryan N. O’Connor, with whom he had the pleasure to make a short film. Among many talented people he has worked with, we can mention: Malcolm Goodwin, Eric Chaney, Andre Gauthier, Reynaldo Valentin, Rudy Mungaray, Andrew Lee and Gad Emile Zeitune.
Even though he was in school for many years, Christian never stopped looking for different opportunities to learn and experience as much as possible. He has not only produced short films while he was at school, but he also has co-produced an Opera.
One of the many characteristics that most people recognize on Christian, is his wide experience in different type of productions. his sensibility allows him to understand many different types of stories and emotions that he tries to transmit to his audience. This is why he has always focused in trying very different genres and styles, always remembering that every production is also a personal learning experience.
Christian has been the Cinematographer and Cameraman of many of the videos produced by the ImagineNation Studios between 2001 and 2003. You can check them out Here.
